When you eat, there are some oils that enter in your body. These molecules are called fatty acids.

Excess of saturated fats is bad, but excess of trans-fats is even worst. Try to avoid them.
Trans-fats are mostly found on pastry products, oils used for frying and processed snack foods.
Monounsaturated fats are found in plants. The best and known example is olive oil. These fats are liquid at room temperature and are very healthy.
If possible, try to use these fats every couple of days. They can keep the blood vessels healthy and reduce cholesterol.
There is one more type of fats: Polyunsaturated. This one is an healthy fat that can be found on plants or fish. You might have heard of this fats, they are also called omega 3 or omega 6.
Polyunsaturated fats are healthy, but you should not consume a big quantity of them.
